In this week's webcast with Harley Schlanger, Helga Zepp-LaRouche addresses two key interventions by the Schiller Institute aimed at derailing the pathetic attempt to maintain the failed "geopolitics" by the transatlantic elites.
First, there is the upcoming Schiller Institute international conference taking place in the U.S. over Memorial Day Weekend titled "A Beautiful Vision for Humanity in Times of Great Turbulence!" Some of the speakers include former South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation H.E. Naledi Pandor, prominent representatives from Russia and China as well as Americans Ray McGovern, Scott Ritter, former Ambassador Jack Matlock and well-known American diplomat Chas Freeman. The conference will also take up the challenge of creating a worldwide youth movement to shape the next 50 years along the lines of the conference's theme.
Second is the Schiller Institute's international initiative to send an "Open Letter to Pope Leo XIV" signed by dozens of prominent figures from around the world to appeal to the new pope to fully embrace the idea of "the new name for peace is development!" especially in regards to ending the horrific genocide taking place in Gaza.
