Escalation of Conflicts Postponed, But Forces Remain on Alert

From Venezuela to Tehran, from Greenland to Kiev, military units have been deployed, with full logistical backup, waiting for commands to move into battle or to escalate where there is already fighting. This makes the world a tense place, as diplomatic initiatives lag far behind incendiary rhetoric. Unless this changes, endless wars remain on the agenda. Governments must hear from their citizens that Permanent War IS NOT AN OPTION.
