From the Tragic to the Sublime

On January 6, 2005, at the onset of the incoming second administration of the oblivious George W. Bush, Lyndon LaRouche delivered this extraordinary address to an audience in Washington, D.C., composed predominantly of members of the LaRouche Youth Movement at that time. LaRouche's comments, punctuated by a performance of Bach's "Jesu, meine Freude" motet, provided the alternative to the fascist austerity and "forever wars" insanity being pushed by Bush and the neocons in their desperate attempt to prop up a bankrupt financial system.
