Global Times Publishes Denmark Schiller Institute President's Op-Ed About China’s Global Governance Initiative
Oct. 8, 2025 (EIRNS)—On October 7, China’s Global Times daily publicized a shortened, edited version of Tom Gillesberg’s op-ed, that had previously been run by People’s Daily. Gillesberg is the president of the Schiller Institute in Denmark.
The Entitled, “China’s GGI a Set of Principles To Rescue the World from a Collapse into Permanent Chaos and War,” describes the five principles of Xi Jinping’s Global Governance Initiative (GGI), the opinion piece concludes:
“The U.S. and its Western allies are in ever more desperate financial and political straits, as the full weight of the increasingly flawed policies of the past four decades plays out. A solution to all this can only be found by returning to the principles of sovereignty and collaboration, not just among the Western nations themselves, but in collaboration with the rest of the world, based on the principles of a new multipolar world, as outlined in the GGI. The Schiller Institute is doing everything in its power to get the U.S. and Europe to cooperate with the Global South to the benefit of all. Let all nations embrace in this dialogue exemplified by the GGI, so that we may find a way of living and developing together, in a shared destiny for all mankind.”
