Mecca Joint Defense Agreement
Helga Zepp-LaRouche told associates yesterday that the strategic situation is in a very rapid transformation, and it could go “in a direction of long-term multi-polarity chaos, or in the best case, we succeed to get it into a new paradigm.” In that context, we examine the recent “Mecca Joint Defense Agreement” signed between Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia. Whatever may come of this agreement, the supposed security provided by the US has been exposed since the US-Israeli military strikes against Iran, and these nations appear to be exploring regional security agreements. Could this be an extension of what occurred in 2023—the China brokered Saudi-Iran reproachment and the BRICS expansion that included those nations, in addition to UAE and Egypt, among others—or is this a reflection of “multi-polarity chaos”? Only through the “Extended Oasis Plan” of water and energy development for all nations in the region, and SW Asia as the key crossroads of the Belt and Road Initiative—from Asia, to Europe to Africa—could there be peace in the region.
