There is a growing shift away from the doomed geopolitical world order, and its crimes, to an emerging, more just system. The emerging international system must be one that respects the sovereignty of other nations and the interests of the Global Majority, instead of catering to what Russian President Vladimir Putin calls the ‘Golden Billion.’

Among the voices that have stood up for the interests of the Global Majority, few have been as forceful as Pope Leo XIV. Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder of the Schiller Institute and initiator of the International Peace Coalition (IPC), highlighted the role of Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical, “Magnifica Humanitas,” and his recent speech at the World Food Program meeting in Rome. Of the latter, Helga Zepp-LaRouche said that the Pope “basically said that given the fact that the world has all the means to produce enough food instantly, so that world hunger could disappear quasi overnight, that there is no legitimate reason why this is not being done. And that there is to be observed a tendency to feed wars much more than people. And he attacks this in the strongest terms.”

In his encyclical, the Pope laid down a conceptual basis for a new international order, which shares the same theme as Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s “Ten Principles for a New Security and Development Architecture,” and the four initiatives of Chinese President Xi Jinping:

“[T)he civilization of love is no naïve utopia, but a demanding project, which consists in translating charity into structures of justice, giving institutional form to fraternity and regarding others—whether individuals or peoples—as allies necessary for building the
common good. As the Encyclical Letter Fratelli tutti reminded us, only this social love is capable of becoming a culture and a norm, and thereby of bringing about a stable international order, transforming mere armed coexistence into a community with a shared future.”

Aside from these significant international developments, there were some significant electoral victories won by several anti-war, anti-AIPAC candidates in Tuesday’s New York City-based Democratic Primary elections, many of whom were endorsed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. These come at a time when many Americans have tired of the post-9/11 endless debacle of no-win war. They have become disgusted by the increasingly- transparent hijacking of elections by AIPAC and similar foreign-based political lobby groups. Simultaneously with the Democratic Primary elections in New York, Tucker Carlson, a lifetime supporter of the Republican Party, publicly announced that he would no longer be supporting that party due to what he called its blind loyalty to Israel and support of foreign wars. He was immediately followed by former congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene, who echoed his sentiment that she no longer believes in the Republican Party.

A different geometry is at work, one which can be seized upon now. Tonight’s discussion will feature New York Congressional Candidate Jose Vega. will be discussing his campaign’s second “independent “phase, following the Democratic Primary elections.
