The Failure of Zero-Sum Game Strategies
The UNGA is at the center of a battle between those nations choosing a "win-win" approach to addressing crises, versus those nations -- led by the U.S., the UK and Europe -- which insist that international relations are an example of a "zero-sum game", which pursues an "I win-you lose" format. This was expressed by President Trump when he told the General Assembly that the U.S. takeover of Venezuela shows that "to the winner go the spoils."
