Harley Schlanger Featured on Pakistan TV
Schiller Institute Analyst Featured on Pakistan TV
Harley Schlanger was featured in an eighteen minute interview on Pakistan's PTV morning news program on Tuesday, on the subject of where the U.S.-Iran conflict is headed after the 60-day ceasefire expired. He emphasized the lack of options available to the Trump administration due to the flawed intelligence regarding Iran which came from Israel, which asserted the Iranian people would rise up and topple the government once the fighting began. Instead, he pointed to the resilience of the Iranian people, which thwarted the efforts of the U.S. and Israel to provoke a regime change. Trump's popularity has fallen significantly, as the American public does not wish to see its tax dollars going to fight "endless wars" on behalf of the Zionist "Greater Israel" Project. He also spoke of the important diplomatic role played by Pakistan, and how the emergence of a Pakistan-Saudi-Turkey military alliance reflects a move toward a new security pact in the region, moving away from domination by Anglo-American corporate interests dictating strategic policy.
