Trump & The Great Depression

Trump claimed at a recent campaign event that if the Democrats win the midterms, we will face a “1929-style economic depression.” In reality, under the current trajectory, the world faces a civilizational collapse that would make the Great Depression pale in comparison. Trump has now blamed the diesel supply crisis on Zelenskyy, even though its origin lies in his war on Iran, and made a deal with Putin on diesel deliveries. The ensuing row between Trump and Zelensky, who called Trump “weak,” has now led to claims by the Ukrainians—whether true or not—that US intelligence sharing is being shut off, including Starlink. After the row, Elon Musk weighed in and said “Zelenskyy has gone too far,” prompting RDIF head, Kirill Dmitriev, to respond: “Time for the Boring Company to start working on the Putin-Trump tunnel that unites Russia and the US, Eurasia and the Americas”—something he raised beginning last year. The idea of the Bering Strait tunnel—long promoted by the LaRouches—is about as presently likely as Trump being serious as its prospect, or as Diane Sare becoming our next president. But history is not determined by likely events, it is determined by a passion for the future of humanity—something that Diane Sare has consistently lived.
