What Stands Between the United States and World War III…

July 27, 2026 (EIRNS)—These have been days in which the fires which could set off a nuclear World War III, have begun to spread from their “cockpits of war,” to involve other nations. And days in which our leading candidates and their preventive solutions—including economic development—have stepped up their mobilization.
The leaders of Britain and Ukraine, which have pulled all Europe to a war supposed to “defeat” the world’s leading nuclear power in Russia, consulted on new war plans in London today, after Ukraine attacked both Iran and Kazakhstan with drone warfare and put out more feelers for an alliance with the murderous government of Israel. President Donald Trump’s United States declared tariff warfare on one of America’s oldest allies, Brazil, and openly sponsored verbal attacks on its President, threatening to drive Brazil to seek “other allies.” On Sunday evening, Brazil’s President Lula da Silva held an hour-long discussion of bilateral cooperation with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The LaRouche movement is responding: This Friday, important speakers from a key group of nations will meet at an EIR Roundtable: “Solve the Immigration Crisis with Development,” with an international audience.
EIR will be giving international circulation to a new interview by Dennis Small with Brazilian Presidential Special Advisor Celso Amorim, covering Brazil’s hopes and plans for economic development and South American integration. The proposal to work with China to construct a Continental rail corridor from Brazil’s Atlantic coast to the port of Chancay on Peru’s Pacific coast, long promoted by EIR and the Schiller Institute, is the required project.
The movement is highlighting mobilization behind its independent Presidential candidate, Diane Sare of New York, to address this crisis, along with independent Congressional candidate Jose Vega of the Bronx, who are leading other independent candidates to November. Like the American heroes who declared their independence of kings and oligarchs 250 years ago to form this Republic, Sare and Vega are leading the “Independents” to declare freedom from political parties owned by billionaires and oligarchs of the “Epstein Class.” They are finding rising receptivity to the issue of stopping the planned treasonous merger of American and Israeli militaries, which has passed the House but is being held up in its Senate version, Section 1217 of the National Defense Authorization Act.
Also this week, the Schiller Institute’s International Peace Coalition has released a petition letter signed by more than 200 peace advocates, to Archbishop John Wester of New Mexico, a long-time Catholic leader on nuclear disarmament. The letter asks Archbishop Wester to urge the American Pope Leo XIV to convene a peace conference and make negotiations possible.
Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche commented today, “The potential is very vast—but it must be realized. We can surround the United States with the question of ‘What is going on in the United States?’… What stands between World War III and the United States, is Diane [Sare]’s campaign.”
